How many meals a day should I give my cat?

For most adult cats, two meals a day works well. Cats do better with consistent mealtimes, so feeding at the same times each day helps appetite and digestion.

Kittens have small stomachs and high energy needs, so split their daily portion into three to four smaller meals. Set meal times are preferable to leaving food available all day.
